Electronics Inc. has participated in a research project that is of significance to orthopedic implant manufacturers

The research project was led by Thomas Webster PhD, associate professor for the Divisions of Engineering and Orthopedic Surgery at Brown University. Dr. Webster presented the research in a paper titled, "Decreased Bacteria Functions on Shot Peened Titanium" at the Eleventh International Conference on Shot Peening in September.

"…this study provided evidence that infection can be reduced on shot peened titanium and, thus, should be further explored for orthopedic applications," cites the paper's authors.
